SMOKING:
The State of Illinois prohibits smoking in all public buildings and within fifteen feet of entrances. This Illinois law applies to the Hinsdale Golf Club.





CELL PHONES:
Members and guests are encouraged to use the “house phones” located throughout the Clubhouse, Golf Pro Shop, Pool, Snack Shop, Paddle Hut or Tennis Pro Shop. Accordingly, the use of cellular phones is not permitted on the grounds of the Hinsdale Golf Club, with the exception of the Clubhouse Locker Rooms and the Parking Lot, or in the case of emergencies related to health and safety. Such devices must be on silent ring or vibrate mode when on Club grounds. Any usage of cellular telephones or pagers should be private and discreet and should not interfere with the enjoyment of the Club by other Members. The “passive” use of cellular telephones and pagers is permitted for the sole purpose of listening to or reading messages, provided the devices are in a “silent” or “vibrate” mode and no “beeps” or “rings” or other sounds are emitted.







PROPER CLUBHOUSE ATTIRE:

 

Dining Room & Centennial Room

Sport coat encouraged, not required, for men. Business casual or similar attire required for men, women and children.


Grill Room, 19th Hole, Patio

Proper golf attire, casual attire, or better for men, women and children  (no denim, short shorts, cut-offs, strapless tops, tank tops, or shirts without collars).  Gentlemen should remove hats in the Grill Room.


Guests should be notified of these rules in advance


Denim is not allowed anywhere on the Hinsdale Golf Club campus, with the exception of the Paddle Tennis Facility.




PROPER GOLF COURSE ATTIRE:


Proper golf attire is required at all times while using the golf course and practice facilities.  Golf attire should be consistent with accepted standards of propiety and good taste.

Examples of improper attire for men, women and children are:  Jeans, shorts that are too long or short (shorts should be worn below mid-thigh and above the knee), cutoff shorts, strapless tops, tank tops, shirts with neither sleeves nor collars (full coverage shirts with either sleeves or collars are appropriate for women only).  Other examples of improper attire include:  high top shoes, caps with visors pointing other than forward, and shirttails worn outside of pants, unless they are made to be worn that way. Mock turtlenecks are considered collared shirts.

Denim is not allowed anywhere on the Hinsdale Golf Club campus, with the exception of the Paddle Tennis Facility.



 


RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS: 

Section 2 of Article XII of the By-Laws provides that the Club shall not be responsible for the destruction or loss of or damage to the property of any Member of the Club, or the property of any Member of the family or guest of any Member of the Club, while such property is on Club premises. Each Member of the Club shall be responsible to it for any Club property removed from, or destroyed or damaged while on, Club premises by such Member or by a member of the family or Guest of such Member.
